Partnership Spotlight: TGTHR to End Youth Homelessness

Colorado Credit Union proudly partners with TGTHR to End Youth Homelessness, a local nonprofit dedicated to working alongside courageous communities to end youth homelessness. Together, we deliver Fund Your Future, a signature financial literacy initiative designed to advance economic mobility for young adults with lived experience in the foster care system and those experiencing housing instability as they transition to adulthood.

Made possible through a grant from the National Credit Union Foundation, Fund Your Future is delivered through a hybrid model that combines in‑person workshops with self‑paced online learning. The curriculum focuses on essential personal finance skills, including saving, budgeting, and credit fundamentals, intentionally designed to meet participants where they are, many of whom are engaging with a financial institution for the first time.

Participants earn savings incentives as they complete program milestones, with funds deposited directly into newly opened savings accounts at Colorado Credit Union. These incentives reinforce positive financial behaviors, help establish consistent saving habits, and enable many participants to begin building their first financial safety nets. Through Fund Your Future, Colorado Credit Union directly advances its mission to promote economic mobility by building trust, expanding access to financial tools, and supporting long‑term financial stability for young adults on their path toward independence.
