Colorado Credit Union Cares Foundation is deeply committed to supporting our school partners and helping the next generation build a strong financial foundation. We proudly sponsor 17 local schools, providing free digital financial education content and resources to support classroom learning.

In addition to digital programming, our team serves hundreds of local students each year through in‑person financial education workshops and Reality Fair events. Our Bite of Reality event brings budgeting to life by challenging students to manage income, expenses, and unexpected costs—helping them understand financial responsibility in a practical, engaging way.
Through Bite of Reality events hosted at partner schools, Brighton High School, Columbine High School, and Dakota Ridge High School, students gain hands‑on experience navigating real‑world financial decisions. These immersive experiences empower students with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed financial choices now and in the future.
“Providing our students with the opportunity to learn about saving, budgeting, and being aware of potential scams is invaluable. The "Bite of Reality" activity at the end of the unit helps students understand that they might not always be able to purchase everything they desire while also managing essential expenses such as rent, childcare, and groceries.”
